    1. Matters arising from minutes:
      • Chickens moved to north field, not thinned pending arrival of new chicks.
      • Got one replacement water manifolds for greenhouse; two more neede. (Cleome)
    2. Project updates:
      1. Upcoming classes and events: none noted. Hope to have programs for the summer.
      2. Recruiting:
        • Mark's & Penny's member shares redeemed.
        • Janaia & Robin (of Peak Moment TV) arrived Thursday, visiting through next Wednesday. They may do a program on us this summer.
    3. Health and safety concerns and updates: none noted.
  6. New business: nothing noted.
    1. Review and prioritize current projects: tabled.
    2. Review 2014 budget: tabled.
  7. Review arrivals/departures, guests and apprentices:
    • Moeed left the morning after he arrived. At his father's request, his computer and tablet have been returned. We have no been reimbursed for their shipping, as had been promised.
    • Jan went to Dayton 20 December.
    • Jan & Cleome to Michigan 24 December, returned 1 January.
    • Mindy left December 30.
    • Sofya & Ben helped milk while Jan & Cleome were in Michigan.
    • Amy left Ben's trailer; it's recommended we lock it to keep vagrants and squatters out.
    • Intern Sylvain Todd arrived Friday -- welcome!
    • Cleome to be on 13:50 ferry, back next Friday.
    • Diana Leafe Christian (of Creating a Life Together and Ecovillage Newsletter) arriving next Tuesday through Thursday.
    • Nerissa and friends coming in February sometime.
  8. Farm meeting:
    • Frozen greenhouse manifolds: Rudy is making due with a smaller manifold. Cleome has replaced one manifold and will keep looking for two more, not crucial until spring.
    • Pears still okay, but need processing soon.
    • Three non-milking goats wormed.
    • Sales records from past three years reviewed, with the following priority for market garden plantings:
      1. cucumber
      2. lettuce (red, deer tongue, romaine)
      3. late tomatoes
      4. tomatoes
      5. snow peas
      6. tomatoes, cherry
      7. chard
      8. carrots
      9. garlic (already planted)
      10. summer squash
      11. kale
      12. watermelon
      13. cantelope
      14. beans
      15. onions
      16. corn
      17. winter squash & pumpkin
    • Web research on starts:
      • 10:5:2 ratio of tomatoes, peppers, and cucurbits recommended
      • mix of cherry, coloured, beefsteak, and brandywine tomatoes recommended
      • mix of bell, banana, and hot peppers recommend
      • also want to do goldenberry and cruciforms (broccoli * cauliflower)
    • Items to track (rough priority order):
      1. Check for bulk potting soil prices.
      2. Shop for small diesel for power rototiller.
      3. Setup lights for greens.
      4. Make some "salad boats" out of cut-off portions of seedling trays
      5. Prep for cider making.
        • Decant pear vinegar and clean out blue barrel.
        • Transport cider press.
      6. Get at least one chain saw working and continue harvesting wood.
      7. Clean up farm store area in prep for construction.
        • Empty freezer in farm store, feed to chickens. (Mindy)
      8. Clean up classroom and cloakroom.
      9. Replace water timer in west room of greenhouse.
      10. Cleome contact Gavin about putting manure on fields he leases from us.
      11. Get cedar slabs and bark from Shane for projects and path mulch.
      12. Chipping -- Jan check mill for cedar bark for prop room floor. (Jan Steinman)
      13. Jan and others: re-arrange the greenhouse tables.
      14. Complete irrigation plumbing in greenhouse after locating and levelling tables. In process as tables are positioned and levelled.
      15. Fix sickle bar in prep for spring mowing.
      16. Move the glass canning jars out of the Yellow House parking lot into the Ikea shed.
      17. Fix big rototiller -- won't run for more than a minutes or so; investigate fuel blockage -- back burner, winter project.
      18. Investigate using small greenhouse as a food dehydrator.
      19. Fix dining room ceiling.
        • Roll up Ron's rug and move it into the attic or somewhere.
        • Move dining room stuff into living room.
        • Plastic-wrap dining room in prep for ceiling demolition.
    • Tracked items recently completed:
      1. Bury Zuciana. DONE!
      2. Jan will glue old goat broom back together. DONE!
      3. Replace White House washer/dryer. DONE!
