    • Mindy must check out with Peace Arch CIC no later than 1 December.
      • To save ferry expenses, Cleome & Jan will pick her up an 30 November, take her to Peace Arch customs, and bring her back to the ferry. Jan will prepare an additional letter. If she is denied re-entry, Cleome will take her to Olympia, and we will work out some way to get her car and personal possessions back.

    • Jan & Cleome to Michigan, Dec 24-31.
  8. Farm meeting:
    • Rudy reports that the manifold in the east room of greenhouse has suffered frost damage, and is no longer usable; he suspects that the problem was that all valves were turned off, leaving the manifold full of water, and suggests that the water be turned off at the house when there is a hard frost warning, and that all other valves be left open, so water can drain or at least expand in the flexible plumbing. Other rooms were not checked for frost damage.
    • Work party: Amy, Jan & Mindy will go to help Leonie move her greenhouse.
    • Awash in sunchokes; need to preserve, prepare, or sell them!
      • AGREED: put them out at the roadside stand.
    • Winter gardening desires: kale, collards, sweet onions (for spring starts), mescluns, raab broccoli, spinach, mache.
      • Have all but collards and mescluns.
    • Items to track (rough priority order):
      1. Prep for cider making.
      2. Make pear cider.
      3. Decide what to do with remaining tomatoes in greenhouse -- not enough to make a decent pot of sauce. Green tomato jelly?
      4. Get fuel for tractor.
      5. Get at least one chain saw working and continue harvesting wood.
      6. Clean up farm store area in prep for construction.
        • Empty freezer in farm store, feed to chickens.
      7. Clean up classroom and cloakroom.
      8. Harvest rose hips after first hard frost, in process.
