  4. Minutes of past three meetings, 19 August 2013, 26 August 2013, and 9 September 2013, reviewed and approved.

      1. Upcoming classes and events: not reviewed
      2. Recruiting:
        • Naeem & Dawn arriving today, probably afternoon.
    3. Health and safety concerns and updates: none noted.
  6. New business:
    1. August statistics not reviewed.
  7. Review arrivals/departures, guests and apprentices:
    • Cleome here for the weekend, leaving tomorrow on the 15:50 ferry.
    • Mindy and Shirley arrived; Shirley leaving Monday morning. Mindy here for one month, leaving around October 12th.
    • Naeem & Dawn to visit sometime this weekend; no more details available.
    • Anelyse arriving today through late tomorrow.
  8. Farm meeting:
    • This weekend: need to pick and process basil, tomatoes, pepperoncini and cucumbers. Deliver cucumbers to Natureworks.
    • Rudy changed his mind, and is unwilling to weigh and log produce sold by the road.
    • Need to finish stacking and tarping hay before it rains.
    • Items to track (rough priority order):
      1. Fix sickle bar and do mowing.
        • Cleome will bring part on next trip (27th)
      2. Get cedar slabs and bark from Shane for projects and path mulch.
      3. Build bigger planters for Physalis. Shoot for 8' to 9', depending on what we can get from Shane.
      4. Process garlic when it is dried enough. Any time now!
      5. Chipping -- Jan check mill for cedar bark for prop room floor. (Jan Steinman)
      6. Jan and others: re-arrange the greenhouse tables.
      7. Complete irrigation plumbing in greenhouse after locating and levelling tables. In process as tables are positioned and levelled.
      8. Need to move the glass canning jars out of the Yellow House parking lot before they get broken.
      9. Investigate using small greenhouse as a food dehydrator.
      10. Cane berries, moving to west fence of west garden -- wait for fall dormancy.
      11. Fix big rototiller -- won't run for more than a minutes or so; investigate fuel blockage -- back burner, winter project.
      12. Jan: begin making horsetail/nettle tea to keep powdery mildew and other fungus down. -- back burner for when humidity increases.
    • Tracked items recently completed:
      1. Complete harvest of gojis and lavender drying in small greenhouse. DONE!
      2. Plant biggest Physalis into the small planters we bought. DONE!
      3. Do something with the remaining goldenberries (many have been transplanted already). DONE!
