      2. Recruiting:
        • Naeem & Dawn are planning to visit during Fall Fair weekend, September 13-15.
    3. Health and safety concerns and updates: none this week.

  7. Review arrivals/departures, guests and apprentices:
    • Cleome leaving shortly for the winter; will be back many weekends. Planning to be back to meet Naeem & Dawn.
    • Nicholas left on Friday.
  8. Farm meeting:
    • Rudy will continue to stock the roadside stand; Jan will stock with cukes or give Rudy appropriate cukes.
    • Jan to pick cukes and basil and deliver to markets.
    • Jan to harvest the rest of the tulsi and make tincture.
    • Rudy reports that Belinda is interested in our chamomile starts and possibly other herbs.
    • Rudy reports seckel pears are ready to pick, or at least to gather ground falls.
    • Items to track (rough priority order): not reviewed
      1. Fix sickle bar and do mowing.
        • Order connecting rod for sickle bar. (Cleome Rowe)
      2. Complete harvest of gojis and lavender drying in small greenhouse. (Jan Steinman)
      3. Plant biggest Physalis into the small planters we bought.
      4. Get cedar slabs and bark from Shane for projects and path mulch. (Jan Steinman)
      5. Build bigger planters for Physalis. Shoot for 8' to 9', depending on what we can get from Shane. (Jan Steinman)
      6. Process garlic when it is dried enough. Any time now! (Jan Steinman)
      7. Chipping -- Jan check mill for cedar bark for prop room floor. (Jan Steinman)
      8. Do something with the remaining goldenberries (many have been transplanted already).
      9. Jan and others: re-arrange the greenhouse tables.
      10. Complete irrigation plumbing in greenhouse after locating and levelling tables. In process as tables are positioned and levelled.
      11. Need to move the glass canning jars out of the Yellow House parking lot before they get broken.
      12. Investigate using small greenhouse as a food dehydrator.
      13. Cane berries, moving to west fence of west garden -- wait for fall dormancy.
      14. Fix big rototiller -- won't run for more than a minutes or so; investigate fuel blockage -- back burner, winter project.
      15. Jan: begin making horsetail/nettle tea to keep powdery mildew and other fungus down. -- back burner for when humidity increases.
    • Tracked items recently completed:
      1. Print more time sheets. DONE!
      2. [x] Trellis tomatoes along the aisle in the west room of greenhouse. (Rudy Siegers)
      3. Get more horse manure from North Saanich. Ongoing, with a big load brought over last Wednesday.
    • Work party Friday: nothing planned.
