  3. Agenda approved, with addition of Cleome's member application.
  4. Minutes of past meeting, 28 May 2013, reviewed and approved.
  5. Old business:
    1. Matters arising from minutes: covered in farm meeting, below.
    2. Project updates:
      1. Upcoming classes and events:
        • There is interest in a cheese class, perhaps in July.
      2. Recruiting: Cleome Rowe applies for membership today.
      3. EcoNest cottage: unable to obtain funding; project on-hold until next year. Remove from standing agenda items.
    3. Health and safety concerns and updates: none noted
  6. New business:
    1. AGREED: Application for membership from Cleome Rowe accepted.
  7. Review arrivals/departures, guests and apprentices:
    • Jen Campbell and family left June 2nd.
    • Alex from Montreal helped for a few days -- thanks, Alex!
    • Will gone Thursday through Monday each week.
    • Tony gone through July 11.
    • Cleome arrived June 13 -- welcome!
    • Cleome gone mid-July for a short trip to Toronto.
    • Mindy possible summer intern, no sooner than two weeks, due to US re-entry issues.
    • Cleome family members now and then
    • Gretchen & Espi in July
  8. Farm meeting:
    • Items to track (rough priority order):
      1. Transplant tomatoes, basil -- half into east room of greenhouse, half into hoop cloches in west field.
      2. Transplant fun jen into east field.
        • Transplant sugar beets somewhere, SOON!
      3. Direct seed:
        • turnips in rows outside lettuce, surrounding carrots
        • spinach
        • kale
        • lettuce
        • beets
      4. Goat fencing -- Friday work party.
      5. Fix big rototiller -- won't run for more than a minutes or so; investigate fuel blockage.
      6. Weeding east strawberry beds, and will capture nice looking babies for sale in pots.
      7. Cane berries, moving to west fence of west garden.
      8. Tent caterpillars: Need to debug remaining heavy infestation in one willow, plus big apple tree.
      9. Rototill west room in greenhouse:
        1. Fix chicken fencing with plywood gussets, replacing members as needed.
        2. Move chickens to pasture.
        3. Move tables and wood out.
        4. Pick up irrigation line and prep for tilling
      10. Boost priority of fixing Vanagon.
      11. Jan and others: re-arrange the greenhouse tables.
      12. Complete irrigation plumbing in greenhouse after locating and levelling tables. In process as tables are positioned and levelled.
      13. NEW Rudy will contact Moats to have more cardboard delivered.
      14. De-taping cardboard for sheet mulching.
      15. Need to move the glass canning jars out of the Yellow House parking lot before they get broken.
      16. Investigate using small greenhouse as a food dehydrator.
      17. Chipping -- Jan check mill for cedar bark for prop room floor.
      18. Jan: begin making horsetail/nettle tea to keep powdery mildew and other fungus down.
    • Tracked items recently completed -- YAY!
      • Transplant pumpkins to east of white house, and set up irrigation for them. DONE
      • Direct seed: carrots DONE.
      • NEW fix East Garden irrigation leaks. DONE
      • Plant more potatoes in three remaining potato cages or in West Garden beds. DONE
      • Rototill east room in greenhouse.
    • Work party Friday: fencing, pot luck Friday evening.
