Tree Bressen highly recommends that groups use an agenda planner as well as a facilitator and recorder.

This person will:

  1. Ensure items are submitted before submission deadline (EcoReality currently tries to have all agenda items on the agenda one week before a meeting).
  2. Ensure that all submitted items have pertinent information- Time required, type of item (brainstorm, discussion, request- or proposal).
  3. Review the agenda before the meeting with the facilitator.
  4. Make any adjustments to time if required (and informing person who submitted if there is a time change).
  5. Modify the agenda if required by adding or removing items if necessary.
  6. Work with the facilitator to add extraneous items to the Agenda parking lot. Or if there is extra time, using ideas from the Agenda parking lot in a meeting.
  7. Keep time during the meeting, reminding the facilitator when an item's time is up.
