When 
Sunday, 29 March 2009 through Saturday, 4 April 2009.
Who 
EcoReality members, prospective members, and scheduled/booked guests. We are hoping that participants will be able to attend most or all of the retreat, and not expect to "drop in" for a day or two.
Where 
EcoReality (how to get to EcoReality) and other Salt Spring locations.
Why 
The expressed primary goal is an opportunity for non-resident members and guests to have an extended opportunity to become better acquainted with each other and resident members. Secondary goals are to get some work done!

Tuesday, 31 March

  • Intro (check-in, announcements), (10 min)
  • Discuss the $800,000 debt and strategies to pay it off, whether it needs a steward or committee, discuss goals and timelines, worst case scenario and backup plans. (60 min) Facilitator - Penny Poiecke, Recorder - Mark, Presenter - James
  • 10:40am Break (10 min)
  • Children and childcare. Heart centered sharing, intro to issues with discussion. Part 1 of 2 sessions. Session 2 will request agreement on proposed ideas (if appropriate and the group's collective heart is in alignment). Facilitator - (James is researching outside facilitation), Recorder - Mark, Presenter - Susie Anne
  • Check-out, announcements (10 min)

  • Do walking tour discussing the location and sizes of the outdoor kitchen, campground, compost toilets. (kid friendly) (90 mins) Facilitator - Jan, Recorder - Mark

NOTE- The afternoons have been left optional to facilitate the needs for family and personal maintenance as well as spontaneous work, hiking, napping (and kid napping), goat walking, planning, visiting, field trips to other parts of the island (making the best use out of daylight). Please let facilitator know if you will or will not be participating. We'd like to continue the bonding and getting to know each other better during the afternoons.
